StressGuard is designed to provide targeted nutritional support during periods of stress.
A single dose is applied over a 3-day period using the ProDispenser in the water trough or mixed with feed at the dose rates below. While the formulation remains active in the animal’s system for up to 6 weeks, it is intended for strategic use ahead of planned stress events rather than routine supplementation.

When treating cow–calf units before weaning in the paddock, calculate the calf dose using the average calf weight (adjusting for heavier or older calves as required) and dose cows at the standard adult rate of 50 mL per head. This allows both cows and calves to be treated simultaneously in the paddock.

Derived from fulvic acid, the natural electrolytes assist nutrient transport throughout the body. Fulvic acid is highly soluble and naturally binds with minerals, helping move nutrients into cells where they can be more effectively utilised.
Application methods
Transport
For best results, apply StressGuard 3–7 days before transport. Avoid dosing within 24 hours of trucking, as the formulation requires time to take effect.
Livestock must drink the treated water for StressGuard to be effective. If you’re not using a ProDispenser, avoid adding large amounts of product directly to the water at once, as this may discourage livestock from drinking.

Dispense StressGuard through the water trough over a 3-day period using the ProDispenser.
Steps
- Calculate the required dose based on the number and weight of livestock.
- Example: 200 breeders × 50 mL/head = 10L
- Pour the required amount into a clean, empty 20L drum.
- Securely attach the ProDispenser.
- If possible, empty the trough and refill with fresh, cool water.
- Place the drum into the trough and allow it to float freely. The stainless-steel dispenser will automatically submerge and release the product.
- Leave the dispenser in the trough for at least three days. At the end of the dosing period, pour any remaining solution into the trough.
For shorter dosing periods, divide the total dose evenly across the required timeframe and apply manually. Example: For a total of 12L over two days, apply 2L morning, noon and night each day.
Add the full required dose directly to the tank 3–7 days before transport.
Example: If trucking at 9:00 am Monday, apply the dose by Friday morning.
Keep the tank operating normally and, where multiple tanks are used, dose the tank closest to the livestock.
Important:
- Use a clean tank with minimal sediment.
- Avoid overflowing the tank to prevent product loss.
- Maintain water flow to keep StressGuard evenly suspended and ensure stock have continuous access to treated water.
If a ProDispenser is unavailable, divide the total dose into three equal applications over two to three days. Example: A total dose of 9L can be applied as 3L per day over three days, or 3L in the afternoon, 3L the following morning and the remaining 3L that evening.
Spread applications evenly and ensure livestock have uninterrupted access to the treated water.
Avoid adding too much product at once, as highly concentrated water may discourage animals from drinking.
Begin applying StressGuard to hay 3–7 days before transport.
Apply one-third of the total dose each day over three days and mix with sufficient water to coat the hay evenly.
Example: If trucking on Monday morning, apply StressGuard on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Weaning
Pre-weaning in the paddock
When treating cows and calves before weaning, calculate the dose based on the number and weight of each class of livestock.
Example:
200 weaners @ 250kg = 30 mL/head = 6L
200 cows @ 50mL/head = 10L
Total dose = 16L
Add the required dose to a clean drum, attach the ProDispenser and place it in a clean trough for a minimum of three days. Once dosing is complete, pour any remaining solution into the trough.
Follow-up: Six weeks later, continue your nutrition program with ULTRANEX, MEGANEX or StockForce, depending on your area’s requirements.
Post-weaning in the yards
Place the ProDispenser into the trough as soon as weaners enter the yards. Avoid placing it earlier, as the water may become too concentrated before livestock begin drinking.
Example:
200 weaners @ 250kg = 30 mL/head = 6L
Prepare the ProDispenser as above and leave it in the trough for at least three days before emptying any remaining solution into the trough.
Follow-up: Six weeks later, continue your nutrition program with ULTRANEX, MEGANEX or StockForce, depending on your area’s requirements.
